We have been quite busy over here at There’s Always Room! As we connect with more foster care agencies, we have received an increase in requests for YES bags and other clothing needs.

What a year it’s been for There’s Always Room! As 2023 comes to a close, I want to gratefully reflect on the ways that your support has served children in foster care this past year.

It’s a common stereotype in foster care. “The people who just foster the babies.” Since fostering two infants, my perspective has definitely changed, and I want to give these people much more credit than they’re given.

I started this foster closet as a foundation for making a change to the system. It’s a way to support foster parents so that they will keep fostering. It’s a way to encourage people in the community to become foster parents. And it’s a way to let the system know that we’re here for these kids, but we need change.
